Family Reading Week

Family Read Week is an event where the library hosts special evening programs with a theme. These programs include, but are not limited to: scavenger hunts, evening storytimes, special STEAM/STEM programs, and reading contests.

Family Reading Week is November 12 – 16, 2024. This year’s theme is Rev Up Your Reading.

Special Activities

All ages welcome for all  events!

Tuesday

  • Rev Up Scavenger Hunt: 4:00 – 7:00 PM
  • Parent Literacy Program: 6:00 – 7:00 PM
  • Touch-a-Truck Event: 5:00 – 7:00 PM

Wednesday

  • Rev Up Reading Storytime: 5:30 – 6:00 PM

Thursday

  • Rev Up Boxcar STEAM Races: 4:30 – 5:00 PM

Friday

  • Rev Up Reading Storytime: 10:30 – 11:00 AM

Saturday

  • Rev Up Reading Storytime: 10:30 – 11:00 AM
30 Books in 30 Days Family Reading Challenge

30 Books in 30 Days Family Reading Challenge

The library also hosts a 30 Books in 30 Days Family Reading challenge, where families are charged to read one book per day together or a chapter or two a day with their children and teens. Families earn prizes if they complete the challenge by the end of the month! It’s a fun way to bond with your family!
