Confidence through Art is starting its third year here at the Burley Public Library! We are excited to be able to offer this program once again to the community!
Do you have a child who loves art? How about one who could use some encouragement? Then join us for the library’s weekly Free art program for children ages 3 -9 recommended for the Adult and Me and Beginner Classes.
This year we have 3 classes you can choose from: Adult and Me, Beginner, and Intermediate! It depends more on your child’s interest and attention level instead of age.
If you have a child or teen who needs some extra help with activities, this year we’re offering an “Adult and Me” class for those who need a hand. Adult and Me class is at the same time as the Beginner Class which Miss Lacie will be leading. Her class will take inspiration from internet Artist Em Winn and each week the children will complete a finished piece of artwork. Lastly, Miss Josie will be leading the Intermediate class and she is teaching a course on Comics and Cartooning. This class has a learning curriculum that builds on each other each week. There won’t be finished pieces in this class each week, and the participant will have a final comic strip, panel, or splash page to create at the end of the 12 weeks for the fall semester.
No registration is required for any of the 3 classes. First come, first serve | 25 seats available. Supplies are provided, just bring a good attitude and a willingness to listen and learn!
